Note: WELL WATER
Chanson Water Ionizers are designed to produce high quality filtered ionized water from municipal (treated) water systems. If your source water is from a well, it must be analyzed so that any pre-filtration needs can be addressed.
Please contact your municipal water or health department for information on how to get your water tested. The tests we need to insure maximum benefit and functionality are: Bacteria and other organic contaminants, nitrates, nitrites, TDS (total dissolved solids), hardness, pH, iron, and anything else that might be specific to your geographic location. When you have this report, send a copy to us for a free analysis. We can recommend and provide any pre-filtration systems needed.

Prefilter Housing Installation Instructions For Above Sink Installation**:
· Choose a location for the housing; it needs to be between the water source and your ionizer.
· Make sure you have two pieces of water line of adequate length to feed the water to the prefilter from the source, and then to the Ionizer from the prefilter. To do this cut the water line provided with your machine into two pieces of adequate length.
· Wrap the threads on the included fittings with Teflon plumbers’ tape (not included).
· Insert the fittings into the two holes in the base of the housing, making sure to tighten, but NOT TOO MUCH, as these are plastic and will strip out.
· Snug them up a bit, but again, not too tightly.
· Note one side of the housing is the “IN” side, and one is the “OUT” side.
· Insert the ¼” (or ½”) water line from the source to the “IN” fitting. If your fitting is a John Guest type then push hose into fitting firmly, and give a tug on it to make sure it is seated. NOTE: ¼” lines are used for the Neptune, Melody, Orion and Aquarius machines. ½” lines and fittings are needed for the Microlite and Technos machines.
· Next, insert another ¼” (or ½”) line into the “OUT” fitting, with the other end going to your Ionizer.
· Insert the line into the Ionizer’s water inlet and complete installation by watching the included video.
· Turn on the water and inspect for leaking. If leaking at the fittings, tighten a bit. If leaking continues, turn off water, remove fittings and add another wrap or two of plumbers’ tape.
· If needed, to remove hose from John Guest fitting, press down on ring that is around the hole the hose goes into. Sometimes you need to use the flat side of a table knife or a flat screwdriver, although many people can depress this ring with their thumb. As you are pressing down on the ring, simply pull the hose out.
**For undersink installation, we recommend you have a plumber install and recommend the correct procedure. Fittings are not provided for undersink installations. ¼” lines under the sink may reduce water pressure. Please consult a professional on undersink installations.
